1 year to the day of 'Dead South Of The Abyss' Screenslaver and <1 return for another split, this time based entirely on Field Recordings.

Fencepost also joins, making this the first time Screenslaver and Fencepost have collaborated on a release since June 2017's 'Dereliction.'

Homo Sapiens - Created by a god we dreamed up. In taxonomy, Homo sapiens are the only surviving human species. The name is Latin for "wise man" and was introduced in 1758 by Carl Linnaeus.

Hexapod Invertabrates - It is estimated that this class of insects originated on Earth about 480 million years ago at about the same time terrestrial plants appeared. The oldest insect fossil - proposed to be Rhyniognatha - estimated to be 400 million years old.

It is widely accepted that insects will become the dominant life-form following the extinction of man.

Sounds heard on Tracks 1 and 2 were recorded by screenslaver on solitary walks around the Hampshire / Berkshire area before being heavily doctored. Sounds heard on Track 3 were recorded in Birmingham, West Midlands then were blurred into nothingness...although as you can hear, some sources were kept intact.

Fencepost & <1's Insect sound sources originate from The New Forest (Ant II and III) and the East Coast of Australia (Cicada) both circa 2000-2002. Sonically torn apart, re-animated and fed through the Terror Dr0ne courtesy of BR, North West of the Abyss.
